Data Deletion Instructions
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Here is exactly how to do it and what happens next.
Last updated: August 2, 2026
Request deletion by email
Send an email tohello@jdguzmans.com with the subject line "Data deletion request" and include:
- The name of the application or service you used.
- The identifier you used with it — your Instagram username or account ID, or the email address you contacted us from.
- Whether you want everything deleted, or only data from a specific integration.
We ask for these details so we can locate your records and confirm the request genuinely comes from you. We may ask one follow-up question to verify your identity before we act, which protects you against someone else deleting your data.
Revoke access from Instagram directly
You can also cut off our access from within Instagram itself, which stops any further data being shared with us immediately:
- Open Instagram and go to your profile.
- Tap the menu, then Settings and privacy.
- Go to Website permissions, thenApps and websites.
- Find the JDG Software application in the active list and tapRemove.
Removing the app revokes our access token so no new data reaches us. Data we already hold is deleted according to the schedule below. If you want that deletion to happen right away, send us the email described above.
What we delete and when
We confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. When we finish, we email you to confirm it is done.
Deletion covers:
- Your profile data and account identifiers.
- Content, messages and insights we retrieved from your connected Instagram account.
- Access tokens and any stored credentials, which are revoked and destroyed.
- Backups, which are purged on their normal rotation cycle within 90 days.
What we may need to keep
A limited amount of information may be retained where the law requires it or where we need it to defend a legal claim. This is kept isolated from active systems and is not used for any other purpose:
- Invoices, contracts and accounting records, for the period required by Colombian tax and commercial law.
- Records of the deletion request itself, so we can demonstrate that we honoured it.
- Security and abuse-prevention logs, held for a short period and then discarded.
If we processed your data for a client. Where we built or operate software on behalf of another business, that business is the data controller and we act only on its instructions. In that case we will forward your request to them and support them in fulfilling it, and we will tell you who they are so you can contact them directly.
Questions and complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handled a deletion request, reply to our email and we will look at it again. You also have the right to complain to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio in Colombia, or to the data protection authority where you live.
